Lisa Narloch

Lisa Narloch’s journey as an "accidental artist" is a testament to resilience, creativity, and love. Formerly a high-level applications integrator at an Ivy League university in New York, Lisa faced gender discrimination but continued to excel in her career.

Her life changed dramatically in 2011 due to a severe head injury from a fall. Following this, a 2012 diagnosis of brain aneurysms underscored life's fragility and inspired her to seize each moment.

Lisa's artistic path began in 2013, turning the loss of her antique apple trees into a healing process and creating art. Her work quickly gained recognition, leading to her first solo exhibit at the Cornell Botanical Gardens in 2017. She moved to Paducah, KY in 2019, where the supportive community enriched her life both professionally and personally, including a wonderful life with her wife.

In addition to her art, Lisa works in voice-over narration and as a stagehand at the Carson Center in Paducah. She is also a mushroom farmer and collaborates with High Grass Hideout Studios on film projects, particularly in the horror genre.

Lisa's resilience in overcoming adversity shapes her story. Her mantra, "I'm not dead yet," drives her to continuously create beauty out of hardship. She advises newcomers in the arts to "Edit, edit, edit, and then edit some more," a principle that has guided her through a diverse and inspirational career.
